Built-in Objects in JavaScript

NOTE: This page needs to be reworked to eliminate the object oriented jargon!!

These six objects are are not parts of the page and therefore are not sub-objects of the window:

Built-in Object - Contains

Array - data indexed by name or number and methods for rearranging it
Date - current date, time and time zone
Function - functions within a script
Math - mathematical constants and functions
navigator - information about the user's browser version, brand and installled plug-ins
String - methods to work with text strings
